E-Mail Settings

Rural Broadband uses Google Apps for customer E-Mail hosting.

Typically, we recommend using the web interface for access. The link to this is available at the top right of any page. Almost all of our customers use rbbmt.org.

We will also mention the links here:
 For customers with email addresses ending in rbbmt.org:
  http://mail.rbbmt.org

 For customers with email addresses ending in rbbmt.net:
  http://mail.rbbmt.net

Help for accessing your email by other means (Outlook, Thunderbird) is available at:
 http://mail.google.com/support/?ctx=gmail&hl=en&labs=1

Under the heading "Other ways to access Gmail"

We will also mention the settings here:

Outgoing mail server:
 smtp.google.com, port 465, SSL

Incoming mail server:
 pop.gmail.com, port 995, SSL

Outgoing server requires authentication, which is the same as the incoming server settings.

For username, remember to put in your full email address! e.g. joe@rbbmt.org
